  • I EAT PENCILS!
I was wondering if anyone knew where to get those small lighted cone shaped buttons that some games use for one player or two player button.

Example: they are used on the Mrs. Pac Man cocktail cab at my local pizza parlor and also seen on Ultimarcs front web page( with white bezel).

I have noticed that many of you use standard buttons for comand purposes yet, on a cocktail cab space is at a premium.
I have found many small lighted buttons that would work but I dig on the look of the black, cone shaped button bezel I have seen in arcades.

They treated me like an animal and that's what I became.

I guess you are refering to volcano buttons.
Kind of hard to find (and expensive when you do)

Thanks for the heads up on that thread. I didn't even know what to call them. I think that I might buy a volcano button bezel from gamecab.com and try to mount a radio shack button in it. I saw one that was lighted. In fact, I think I could re-tap the bezel with bigger threads to fit a common radio shack switch.

  • Thank You MAME Developers
If you find a good illuminated button that fits the volcano, please post back here and share the knowledge.  I haven't been able to find a good solution or solid answer from anybody.

They are tough to find (for cheap).  I need one for my asteroids.

FYI, they are Atari volcano buttons.  If the Ms Pacman had them it was a conversion as were made for Atari.

btw, they can be cheaper to buy a whole control panel with them on then buying them on ebay by themselfs.

I have two I got on a omega race for a few bucks.. and it came with the omega race controller and the control panel itself...

but those are the low profile type.
