Player 2, buttons 5 & 6??

I seem to be having a problem with buttons 5&6 for player 2, as in they dont work within a game in mame! I dont think the J-PAC is the problem as on the mame disclaimer screen when it says press any key, if i press button 5 or 6 it registers it, but in a game like street fighter 2 these buttons dont work, anybody know why, all the other buttons work fine

Have you made sure those buttons were assigned for the specific game?

Start MAME - Tab Menu - Inputs All Games - Assign the correct buttons to P2B5 and P2B6.

Ok thanks, ill try that.  Heres another question, i have setup my button inputs for my service buttons using the WinIPAC IPD program, but i cant see how i can select a button to act as Enter, so i can actually get into the menus whilst playing a game??
