I have that adapter, and I need a laptop hard drive. I even have 2 3.5" standard PC hardrives to trade. However, they're both new and sealed. I'm not comfortable trading something new for something used.

That adapter is used to plug a laptop hard drive into a ragular PC and have it detected as a regular hard drive.
The red and black wires at the top of the picture lead to one a plug that would be plugged into one of the internal power cables to supply power to the hard drive since PC hard drives have seperate power and laptop harddrives get their power through the ribbon cable.

Don't suppose you have a heatsink for a laptop P4?
I'm starting to build a laptop-based SFF, but have no heatsink yet...
Do you have any prices in mind for RAM, CPU, HDD?
