List of materials needed for a complete cab..
« on: August 01, 2005, 08:57:42 pm »
I'm about to start a new (and first) mame cabinet.  What I need is a list of all the materials that I'm going to need.  I'm not talking about tools and things of that nature.  I just need a list of the other things.  For example: wood, monitor (TV), keyboard encoder, joysticks...ect.  Things of this nature.  I won't be using trackballs.  Joysticks and buttons are all that will be on the CP.  So if anyone could point me to a great list, it would be most appreciated.

Everything I've used, and everything I've done to build my cabinet is on my web page.

Ya, I know.  I already added your website to my Favorites earlier today.  :)

Great site, btw.

Actually tivogre, it would be cool if you put up a page that had just a list of parts that you used for your cab and where you got them.

I've got a listing of the parts I've used for my cabinet at http://www.garry.ca/design.html. The parts list is about halfway down the page...Does not include the wood. Add 3 sheets of MDF 1/2" and 1" strapping if you need that as well...

You can ignore trackball opti-pac and coin door, sounds like they are not required for your setup.

I really like the short throw of T-Stick Plus(es). These are the joysticks I've been using lately.

Vids:  Home built MAME machine, Crystal Castles. Arkanoid
Pins:   Williams Aztec (working). Stern Nugent (not working...yet), Williams Phoenix (major not working, missing parts.... )

Always on the lookout for buying 90's game with Ramps that need work...

That is actually in work for the cabinet page.

Check back later!

It's already there on the Control Panel page.

If you have a spouse or girlfriend, you'll need lots of roses and jewelry to complete your cab...at least that's what I needed...  ;)
