Mouse Hack to 360 Spinner Wheel Question
« on: July 31, 2005, 07:15:44 pm »
I have an original pole position spinner steering wheel and I would like to connect it through the USB port.  The wheel has a small board with the optical sensor attached.  The board has 4 pins.

Does anyone know if I could simply gut a standard USB mouse and connect these 4 wires to one axis of the mouse and have a fully working 360 wheel for the PC?

Yes, I've done this with an Oscar USB mouse hack...

Edit: You can see a pic here...I can get a closeup of the connector if you like.
