CP spacing

so I put my CP all together and there is one thing that is bothering me.  My joystick and buttons seem to be too close to the edge and it hurts the bottom of my hand when I play for a while.  I have yet to put the t modling on, though Im sure this wont extend it much (but it will be more comfortable than just the plexiglass).  I was wondering if anyone knew of any material that I could put around the edges similar to one of the keyboard wrist pads, but obviously not as huge?  Would this look stupid?  I think it would feel nice at least.

the t-molding will help, wrists being pressed against a edge of rubber is way better than a wrist against some plexi (before i finished up my cp, i played for so long with just plexi agianst my wrist that it got all cut up and bloody.....nobody likes bleeding from playing an arcade game).

How far away from the bottom of your CP are the controls?

My wrists kill after a while on my cab with normal sticks, particularly if standing up.

Sitting down pretty much cures the problem for me.  Not sure if you have the same problem, but changing the angle of your hand/wrist (ie try sitting on a stool) might help.

yeah, i was sitting on a stool, I think my cp is still a bit high though, Ill have to measure the distance from the bottom of the panel when I get home, is there an arcade standard?

Because of that problem, I was thinking about making my CP out of a piece of Formica Kitchen Countertop, since it has a rounded edge

A circular edged router bit should have the same effect.
