A good classic PC game for a cab
« on: July 27, 2005, 10:43:31 am »
Not sure if this should go in software or not, but figured I'd take my gamble and put it here

http://www.gamingdepot.com/g/D_Generation

It's an old action/puzzler I remembered this morning from back when i was like 10, back from the good old days of "quality" pc gaming when Wing Commander and such still existed.

I happened to find it now as a free download without too much effort since now i'ts so old, it's abandonware,  so don't go all legal freak on me, it's legal

I've found 2 problems since downloading, since it is from 1991, I'm not sure how I can get the sound working (using XP), the game itself actually works fine after just copying it to a folder,  but i can't find any setup or install with which to set up the sound

and due to a lack of manual (easily rectified) I don't know all the controls, and again due to a lack of setup utility, don't know if there is a way the controls could be remapped to work with an arcade cabinet

But, thought about this earlier, great game in either case, thought I'd share with you guys, it's free, less than 2MB, and a VERY nice challenge later on in the game

Peace
Rob
