Need New PC and CAB PC Need Help

Hi,
Yesterday I wanted to swap cpus from my pc to my cabinet and well i did something bad... first my main pc the socket broke and i think the cab mb fried! so I need to get a new mb for my pc for now. I want to get a new pc for cab later on, anyone help? I need a good price. For the pc (not cabinet) I must have a athlon/duron board that supports the 4 IDE channels so I can have my 3-4 HDs and 2 cdroms. I had an ASUS A7V board.. I just need something cheap for that. As for the cabinet I want to get a top of the line unit that will scream and run N64, and the new Mame roms at full speed..any suggestions? and places to buy? I am in Canada just to let you know.

One thing about pricewatch, use it at a tool to find the cheapest price on quality products, don't just get the cheapest thing you find.   Especially when it comes to motherboards, those are one of those thing where you get what you pay for.

athlon xp 2000 atleast with 2 x 512 ram.should be more then enough for mame and other pc games as well.

Have you tried Summit Direct or CompuSmart? Those are probably the two most competitive stores in the city. (for quality parts that is)

Pricewatch doesn't sell anything. They are basically a search engine for parts sorted by price. Don't always go with the cheapest one listed. Always check the shipping cost and return policys. I use them for price checking mostly and then I'll order from a vendor that I recognize a little higher in price on the list.

If you do order from a vendor you've never heard of spend a few minutes researching them. Theres a bunch of sites that let you rate vendors and its surprising how many have 100's of horrible reviews and yet they stay in business.
