Control Panel Overlay

Have ordered an Overlay from classicarcadegrafix.com, am just woundering if its best to place the overlay over my CP then use the router to make the holes in the CP, or is it best to make the holes in the CP first then place the overlay on the CP and score where the holes are?

I cut the holes in my CP first, then put on the CPO, then cut the holes in the CPO using the drill holes as a guide.  That worked just fine for me.  Others may have different suggestions.

I'm not sure, but would think that cutting thru the CPO with a drill bit or router would rip it to shreds...

I followed the same procedure as Game Over and the results were perfect. Use a real sharp exacto knife if you can. For the round buttons, I cut a series of "pie" shapes, cutting a line from the center to the edge, then cut out each pie.

I have read where people place their print over their control panel and use a nail to punch the centre of the printed hole (straight through the print).

Then use these nail marks left in the wood as a guide where to drill your holes. When finished attach CPO and cut out the print as described above.
