If ET comes back seeking advice from a broad that was a drug addict and alcoholic by the time she was 15, he's not as smart as we thought.

ET better phone Elliot first.

With all of these garbage remakes/upgrades/unnecessary sequels that are coming out now... I'm sure we'll see ET 2 by the end of the month or so.   ::)

I can't see how this movie could turn out anything but terrible....

The worst part will be that ET will now most certainly be CGI.

They are redoing Fahrenheit 451.

I want some more Arthur C. Clarke books turned into movies. I want to see "3001: Final Odyssey" as a movie.

The sad thing is... some of the ideas for remakes or new takes of old movies/books/stories have SUCH POTENTIAL.... then Hollywood actually films the things and they aren't worth the film they're shot on.

Hitchhiker's Guide?  The LOTR movies?  Most movies come from books.

According to reports the sequel will see ET return to a now grown-up Gertie, desperate for help saving his family from extinction.

hmmmmmmm.

script should read:

ET returns to earth on to find the grown-up Gertie has become a crack ho' and ET tries to save her from extinction.......

Off the top of my head, I can't think of any movie that had Spielberg's name attached to it that I disliked. I'll just have to wait & see what happens with this one.

ET returns to Earth to find that Gertie is past her prime, her career is dying, and is raped by her ex husband.

Many of Philip K Dick's stories have been and are being made into [sci-fi] movies (that's what happens when you die. Your wife--err, I mean your "estate" milks your dead corpse for all its worth.)

NO MORE!!

Spielberg won the LAME-O(tm) award when he digitally edited out the guns in the ET re-release, just as Lucas won it for making Greedo shoot first.

They both make me nervous now.

no pease say it ain't so..........

that would explain why there are so many ET type toys popping up. ive been buying a few star wars figures to sell at a later date. of course it NOW occurs to me that they only hike in value when a new star wars movie comes out. and weve just seen the last. doh! at least i can give em to my grandkids. oh, hang on. im never gonna have kids to HAVE grandkids. doh! doh!
