Ignition 1 switches
« on: July 21, 2005, 04:03:57 pm »
Anyone know where I can get an Ignition 1 switch? Geeks.com is out of stock and I dont see any on ebay.
Any other shops that sell them?

Does that do anything you need other than power on and reset the computer?

You can rewire the power/reset switches with normal wire, and arcade buttons, if that's all you need.
You can also lengthen the HDD and power indicators, but getting them out of the case can be a pain on some brands.

NoOne beat me to it, and if it's like he says (you're only using it to turn on/off your system) that's also kinda pricey for a one-trick pony.

Thank you. Yes I realize I can do this myself. However I personally would rather just buy this device because of looks. Plus 7.99 is not too pricey in my opinion.

If anyone knows where to get one, or something very similar, please let me know.
Thanks

It looked like it was priced at $15, regardless, one man's steal of a deal is another man's "I could do that myself for WAY less money" :D

Not sure, but I'll look around.  I think I saw those elsewhere.  Off the top of my head, mouser.com ya might wanna check.  grainger.com too.

Because of the looks huh?

A remote dangling doesn't sound like good looks to me...
Here is my solution:

From left to right: Volume Knob,  Switched AC outlet inside of cabinet,  pc power switch

And the behind the scenes look:

I've seen a site that's like that.  Hold on, lemme scrounge up a link for it for ya....you'll have to search around the site when I get you the link, but you should be able to find it pretty easily, just make sure to search for "volume" and "power button".
