I asume you mean in maewah when you select input mouse as 1 as i have done this already as i said it works normally except when it comes to the actual games itself :(

Nope, he means in (mame's) mame.ini file - set mouse 1.  If you don't have a mame.ini, then you need to run 'mame -cc' from a command prompt to generate it.

« Reply #7 on: July 18, 2005, 10:18:58 am »
trackball problem 2 the ball moves very slowly i admit it has been out of use for a while but iv tried cleaning it and it just doesnt seem to move as freely as it did when i first got it.

Do you think i should buy some new bearings kit from the happs site will this get it back to its proper state?

Try adjusting the sensitivity in mame first.

it still seems sluggish to me i could be wrong and maybe expecting it to be perfect when this is as good as it gets but to me seems really quite slow. I tried playing simpsons bowling with it and just kept going slow and wide
 very frustrating

Try something else, like Missile Command.  You should be able to adjust the sensitivity and get it to be responsive enough.

Make sure you're playing the trackball version...some of the clones are for joystick I believe.

Yes, but I'm still running MAME v0.92.  It could be that it has problems now, although I don't know why that might be.

I agree that seems very strange what settings do you have on your trackball sensitivity etc

No idea, but I recall it worked with the defaults (as should yours).

Are you sure you have mouse enabled for all games?
