Donkey Kong.  That was the first followed by the Mrs. pushing me out of the way to play Centipede.

Depends on how you define "finished".  Played Pac-Man when my cp was done, Robotron when it was done again, and will play Centipede with my new trackball when it's done for the 3rd time.  As for the cab itself, I played it ever since it was MDF propped up on 2x4's, and every chance I could in between.  Must've been the reason it took me 2 1/2 years to finish the bugger.  Anyway, let's call it Pac-Man.  Guess I just wanted to make sure the joys worked and worked my way up from there....
Now witness the power of this FULLY OPERATIONAL Mame machine!

Donkey Kong - and it was almost a religious experience. I'd forgotten what it was like to push a REAL button and make Mario hop over those barrels.

That was before trackball arrived...first trackball game I played was Centipede...and of course a round of Tempest once the Tornado Spinner was installed also!!

Donkey Kong - and it was almost a religious experience.

I keep telling myself that I built this cabinet for my kids as a Christmas present.  They do love it.  In fact, it's the only present they're still playing with.  I can honestly say that I love it as much or more than they do.  I grew up dropping quarters into machines like a mad-man.

There was a real sweat spot in arcade gaming in the mid-80's.  Personal opinion; the birth of the fighting games really killed the arcades.  --> keep reading before you flame!  They're good games and a lot of fan-boys love them.  The problem was in the complexity of the games.  They removed all the instant gratification achieved by "classic" games.  Anyone from 5 - 55 could drop a quarter and play Donkey Kong, but games like Mortal Kombat required much more knowledge about the controls.  The audience for those games was much smaller and as a result we no longer have the big arcades of yester-year.

I just had to have a Tempest Spinner and researched every spinner option before settling on the V2.
Super Sprint - In Progress ($150)
Moon Patrol MAME - Completed ($670)
Tic-Tac-Strike Puck Bowler - Restored ($1200)
