Name these Games
« on: July 17, 2005, 02:43:40 pm »
I'm trying to find out the names to these 2 arcade games. I've tried looking at the scrrenshots of  Mame games but didn't see them. So I hope someone here can help me out.

1) I think the game was called "Pyro" or something to that effect. But it was like a ghouls'n ghost kind of game, destroy monsters and pick up items. You were a little character with a blue coat and red hair and threw these fire balls. At the end of each level you would go into a shop and buy upgrades. I remeber that the last upgrade for the fireball was like shooting 10 fireballs in a straight line. The game had 2 buttons jump and fire.

2) The 2nd game was a "miami vice" like game. You played 2 cops, a white guy and a black guy. The black guy had a yellow suit on. Basically walked around shooting bad guys, picking up guns and ammo.

A quick search at KLOV found this:

Thanks Tristan,
That is the game I was looking for.

Now if I could only find the name of the 2nd game.

N.A.R.C.

I wasn't NARC, it had better graphics. It was a side-scroller. It was in a cabinet with another game. You could select games just like in an snk cabinet. But I've searched through snk games and I'm pretty sure it isn't an snk game. Also I can say for a fact the cabinet wasn't an SNK cabinet.

Your mention of "winners don't use drugs" brought to mind Crime City, although my Mame game doesn't seem to be showing that particular message.
