Arcade cabinet need advice
« on: July 15, 2005, 09:02:46 pm »
well since I am not a skilled woodworker I need a mame cabinet, I have the roms and all computer parts necessary to get things going.  I have called many places in my area(detroit, MI) and no one has any used cabinets for sale.  I am on a budget which is why I chose to look for a used cabinet.  any advice on where I should look for a cabinet.  thanks

There's also a place that I always see on ebay up in north-central Ohio (west of Cleveland).

I almost drove there from Virginia, so I guess Michigan wouldn't be too bad.

Search on ebay, and sort by distance/nearest.

Try "drmoonsparkle" on eBay (although he currently does not have any for sale).

I have had next to no wood working skill and I built my own cabinet.  It looks a lot better than I had expected.  Sait's book really helped me a lot though.

If you are still looking for a cab though, there is a defender cab in the Buy/sell/trade forum.  You would have to drive all day to get it, but it's free.  It's in West Virgina (about 8.5 hours from Detroit).
