What to do when games run slow
« on: July 14, 2005, 10:52:27 am »
I have noticed that a lot of newer games on my emulator run slow. Is this just because the speed on my cp needs to bne updated?
I want some jamatizable cabinets in the southeast.
                               C'mon people.

Lots of factors play into this:
What speed is your PC?
Just cause a game is 'playable' doesn't mean it will run 100%,
 even on the beefiest PC.
What version of Mame are you using?
Did that game run better on previous versions?

etc....  etc....

...so I will ask you... "Deal, or No Deal?"

if your game is running slow, you could always run to the mini-mart for a slushy

Try using an older set of MAME.

I like .61, it runs great on almost anything.

Dig it?
