Super LEDs and Power
« on: July 11, 2005, 04:57:15 pm »
I have read all over this forum regarding LEDs and lighting them, yet I still have questions:

1.  After some research, and seeing the reviews on RetroBlast, I have come to the conclusion that I will use a T19 6-LED Blue bulb to light my translucent trackball and 2 red ones for the coin doors.  These LEDs are made, I assume, to be put into a socket.   Can I find these at a local auto store?

2.  These bulbs are 12v.  I do not want to power them via the PC power supply.  I assume I can use a standard 12v dc power source from Radio Shack.  If so, how exactly would one wire the three LEDs into this power source.

3.  I have a faux coin door from Happs.  Any thoughts on how the mounting would be best since it does not have clips for LEDs.

Thanks........and any additional thoughts would be appreciated.

You will probably have to order those online.

I'll need to buy the LEDs from SuperBright, but the sockets for them I am unsure of.

Any ideas on #2 or #3..........
