MAME vs MAME32 ???
« on: July 11, 2005, 04:19:49 pm »
OK, semi-noob question what is the difference between mame and mame32 and are there any difference? I'm assuming mame32 is a 32bit processing version of mame, but are they from the same development team? mame32 process cpu intensive games faster? What am I missing here?

Mame32 is the gui version of mame.  If you are using a frontened you want mame.  If you think the look of mame32 is okay then use it, it's easier.

mame32 is Windows

So is MAME!  As said, MAME32 just has a GUI slapped onto it, which is pointless for most of use here who use a separate FE.

Just use MAME :)

BTW this should be in the software forum
