Which key combo is PAUSE with an IPAC?
« on: July 11, 2005, 06:43:53 am »
anyone know what key combo on an arcade control panel using an Ipac will pause the game? I know it's possible to reprogram the ipac but I was wondering if there's an existing combo - like Quit is P1 & P2 start.

:P just read the ipac instructions again on the ultimarc site.  Shift (P1 Start) + DOWN is pause.

I hope you aren't serious.  It is just like the pause control on tons of every day devices.  You hit 'pause' to pause and then hit 'pause' to unpause.

Ctrl-Alt-Delete usually works.  (Just kidding, see previous replies).

Ya I have never been happy using the IPAC shift pause function.  It's especially impossible when you are playing a 2 player game and the other guy is pounding away at the keys when you are trying (unsuccessfully) to pause.  If I had to do it again, I would've created a small discrete dedicated pause button somewhere.
