Specialty Plastics still in business?
« on: July 08, 2005, 09:40:51 pm »
Just wondering if anyone has ordered or dealt with Specialty Plastics recently, or knows anything about what's going on there?  Tried getting in touch to see about getting a repro Satan's Hollow red tron-style stick made, and have yet to get a response to any inquiries...  I'm hoping he's not dropped off the face of the earth, as I was kinda counting on enlisting his services in this.  :-\

Just got an e-mail from him yesterday.  I thought that he is still looking for a new handle to make better molds...

Hmm...  Guess I just don't rate when it comes to getting a reply then.  :p

Good to know he's still around, though.  What's he looking for in a handle that's so special?  Handles don't seem to be particularly hard to come by if color isn't important, which it obviously wouldn't be for the purpose of mold-making.

Was there something wrong with the handles he was making before?

his mold is worn out and he wants a good handel to make a new mold from.  My guess is that he wants an original tron hanel with no scratches or blemishes.  That might be tougher than just a handel that would work for a game.
