I know the image sucks, but it's the only one I could find online. Could someone help me vectorize this? I really don't know how. Nor do I have the software to do it.

The other alternative is to use the art already existing in the vector artwork library to recreate the marquee. All the characters exist there already. It would just take drawing a frame and some dots. Maybe the name, too, but that all seems pretty geometric. I just don't have the know-how or software to do anything about it. I'm sure there are ofplenty of people here who could, though.

I need it for a project I'm working on, but it would be a great addition to the vector art libary.

Come on, people! Pleeeeeeeeease?

I can't vectorize worth a lick, but tried to clean up your marquee.  Right click on the filename and Save As...View it locally on your compy, as the byoac forum squishes it.
It doesn't matter if you win or lose....it's how you play the videogame.

Thanks, rohan. That's so much better than mine. And thanks to you too, kcorcoran. Ya'll are lifesavers! Yeah, it's standard Midway size. Thanks!

Would it be alot of trouble to ask if you could make a version with a white background (with a black outline from any color-on-white parts)?

I'll take what I can get, but a version with a white background would suit my needs better.

Note: It's barely visible in the original jpg and not visible in the clean version, but I think there is a somewhat 3d affect to the border.

Look here, where the marquee is lit up:
http://www.appolo.com/collection/multipac/mulit_pac_project.htm

The blue and pink? are slightly lighter in the center.

The lighter shade in the middle comes from being lit from behind. Otherwise I think it's supposed to be uniform.

I see what you're saying about 3D effects, though. I don't know about anyone else who might want it, but I like it flat. There wasn't anything 3D about that game originally.

Either way really as it's you that wants it.  :)

But look at the jpg you posted, the inner section of the blue and pink border has a different shade then the outside of it.  The light from the link I showed is enhancing that, otherwise the whole pink and blue part would be uniform when lit from behind.

ok. didn't start on these until about an hour ago but here's a couple of versions i'm going to post to the arcade art library.

without a hig res scan of the original i exercised some creative license on recreating the one he posted. the other pac style one is because i figured someone might have an original pac cabinet and not want to alter the look as much.

i didn't get around to doing a Ms Pac style one but i'm sure i will.

these will be posted to the library shortly. i'll link the images directly when they are.

enjoy.

haha. yeah. i'm not sure i'm going to use any of them yet. i might paint my multipac half blue and half yellow.
i still havent primed it yet so i have some time to decide.

i'm partial to the plain pac version. simple and close to original.

I'll be replacing the marquee on an original pac man with a multi-pac conversion.

Baby Pac Man shouldn't be on a Multi Pac as it was half Pinball.  Should be Jr.

I was willing to do this one if anyone thinks I can vectorize.  I'm just about finished with my Roadblasters!

What links?

... and leave the one with just the adult Pacs if you don't mind. My particular Multi-Pac doesn't include Pac Man Jr. Thanks.

Too many good choices! I like the 2nd, 3rd, and 7th. Right no I'm leading most towards the 7th. I was thinking I wanted an original Multi-Pac marquee, but these other looks really good.

I actually have an original Multi-Pac marquee if anyone wants me to scan it in.

I can't stitch images togeather worth a dang, so someone else will have to do that.  ::)

Rook, I might give it a go if you scan it.

I can at least stitch it....if not vectorize it.
