What's out there that you guys would recommend for the cheapest trackball\spinner interface? I see the optipac, but are there any good alternatives, like stuff from GroovyGameGear, or gamepad\mouse\joystick hacks?

Just checked out Ultimarc's site - that looks perfect! Just wondering what the price was, I didn't see it on the order page. Also, any other suggestions?

Microsoft intellimouse hack most used pc places sell them for $5. Also folks have added a switch to use the mouse hack with both a spinner and a TB. That is the cheap route.

http://www.ultimarc.com/JShopServer/section.php?xSec=3 - $29 if you hack an IDE cable.

I like OSCAR's USB mouse interface for $10.  His site is down, but you could try sending him an E-mail. - www.oscarcontrols.com

Oscar's site isn't down when I look at it.

Unfortunately, it says:

Oscar Controls is currently closed and not accepting orders.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Anybody know what's up?

I find it silly, turning away customers. Should just take the orders but post a big fat warning "Your order could take as long as 1 month to process". After that, hell, if people still want to give you their money, let them!
NO MORE!!

I also wish the main page were available and only the order page were removed, as there is a lot of good reference info linked from the main site.
