SOLD Pentium 4 2.4 ghz (478) + 256MB Samsung Rambus
« on: June 27, 2005, 06:24:49 pm »
Just the CPU. It's in good condition. 2.4 ghz, with 512kb of cache and 533 fsb. Asking $60 Canadian (don't know the shipping price yet, probably cheap since its small).

The memory is 1066mhz. There is two sticks (184 pins), each with 128Mb of ram. Asking $25 Canadian each. These must be installed as pairs! I'll throw in two blank ram pcbs to fill the slots also.

I'll give you all of the above for $100 cad. Pictures available for both items. Thanks

Oh by the way, the socket is 478.

This doesn't include a motherboard?

Consider me interested if there's a motherboard included.

Well, I could throw in a possibly working dell mobo for it. It just weighs a ton. Shipping would be quite a bit more. Maybe $110 cad for everything including the mobo (not shipped)?

How much is "a ton"? I can't picture it weighing more than a few pounds. Sending it via ground shipping ought to only cost a couple more bucks, right?

Recently, I sent a 2 pound package and a 7 pound package via FedEx Ground. I think the price difference was about $2 or $3 (American money).

I like the price, but you're scaring me with shipping here.  :)

Ok. I'll throw in the mobo for free (because one part broken, but its still usable).
_________

|...... ..........  <- side broken there and the two pins on the side are bent.
---------------

That plug is for the front board of the case (the power button, headphone and usb ports). Its a special dell only thing I think. When you cross two of those pins, the mobo boots up. I can tell you exactly which pins later, or you can figure it out yourself easily. You can just then hook up the case power button (or whatever you're using) to those pins. A local buyer is also interested in this item, I will know if he wants it by tomorrow. If he doesn't come through, I'll PM you Alan (with the estimated shipping price and pics). I'll throw in the heat sink and fan also. A reason why I said it weighed a ton is because it's got part of the case tray on it. I don't want to remove it because I don't want to damage it, but if you have a good wrench, you can remove it easily. Plus a ton is exaggerating a bit...

Oh I think I know what you mean. You're refering to those modular cases where the mobo slides out on a tray?

I'm going to have to hold off on this one. Give it to pcates if it's still available. I found an extra mobo/cpu in my closet after all.
