Using a US Shuttle XPC in UK
« on: June 27, 2005, 12:17:08 am »
I built a Shuttle XPC for a fellow that lives in UK.

The different power requirements didn't strike me until I was about to deliver him to the airport for his return flight this afternoon. Well, I knew it existed but there was no 110/230v switch on the shuttle power supply. It's an SK41G based unit with 200w PS whose label indicates 110~230.

Does that mean its "auto switching" based on input voltage?

I know it has an internal 4amp 250v fuse.....

I've scoured SFF forums and Shuttle tech support trying to confirm whether it is auto switching. All appears that way but I would hate for him to arrive home and blow something out.

I look forward to any and all replies.

Generally if it states 110~230, it will work and be safe to use in the UK.  Being no switch, it probably switches automatically.

A reply post on another forum seems to confirm that fact.
