Well, I'm in the same boat. While having a fancy title might be fun, it's not worth the risk and temptation of wearing ladies frilly things. Besides, I live in the midwest and am probably legally bound by some obscure state law to fear dudes in drag

Those poor kids feel bad enough about themselves. They make short bus cracks at each other all the time. And it is never taken playfully. Just realize you are lucky enough not to need the short bus and be happy. No need to poke fun at those with disabilities.
