Control Panel Dimensions for Happ Rotary
« on: June 25, 2005, 12:23:00 am »
The Control Panel I am working on and about have finished is a replica Slikstik C02 Controller. I took all the dimensions from a C02 Blank I had access to. I had built the control panel prior to deciding on my joystick layout. Originally, I noticed that the slikstik "under panel" had a  counter sink place under neath each joystick hole and it didn't really occur to me what these would be used for.  However, I took the dimensions. I even went ahead and placed these countersinks because I figured I needed them for some type of unforseen Joystick Clearance underneath.

Anyway, I have purchased some Happ Mech Rotary Joysticks. The problem is the bottoms are still making contact with the under panel of the control panel. I have double checked all my dimensions and can't find where I might have went wrong because the countersink is still not lending enough clearance. My questions is, is there anyone that has a Slikstik with Rotaries and if so, if you have looked inside how did they create the clearance needed?? Has anyone else gotten very creative with solving a similar clearance problem??

If nothing else, I will just go ahead and cut a hole through the bottom panel.
