« on: June 23, 2005, 01:59:52 pm »
I am trying to figure out a way to make one main power switch for every component of my machine (marqee lights, computer, ect.) I've found a few ways on different sites but I can't begin figure out what they mean (c'mon I'm not a master electrician). Any easier (much much easier) salutions. PLEASE relpy back.
I want some jamatizable cabinets in the southeast.
                               C'mon people.

There are some all-on power solutions that get discussed here.   do a search for terms like: power, one button, switch, outlet etc.

The easiest solution, IMO, is to hook everything into a power strip and use the power strip to turn everything on and off.  Depending on your computer and monitor setup, this might not work for everything on a single switch, but it's a start.

There are also specialized "autoswitching" power strips that people use

Here are some links to check out with more information:

It will depend on what kind of a monitor you will be using.  some tv monitors will need to be turned on after power is sent to the plug.

Racism is not welcome on my forums. All the racist posts have been nixed. Please feel free to respond with helpful information again, apologies to those who lost useful posts.

Funky - I have a page in beta I'm working on that addresses this question - you might find it useful: http://beta.arcadecontrols.com/cabinet-power.shtml

Saint, there's a very good reason why this is one of my favorite stops on the internet. Thanks for keeping it that way.

I would like to second that. theres not to many forums on the net where I find as much decency, even in arguments, as I find here.
