I'm looking forward to the details.  I love the look but also loved the last model too.  Will you still be offering the original?

All I will say right now is that the original model is here to stay, but it is something of a special interest product.  The new cab will be an alternative to the spinning design.  It will hopefully appeal to a wider audience.  Cosmetically, it will be virtually identical.  I'll get into more specifics soon...

Hey 1UP,

Those cabs are killer, man.

Do you have a showroom in L.A. where someone could come by and check out these things in action?

I'm happy with the cab I've built right now, but I'd like to check on of these babys out firsthand.

Why do people always say it like THAT?  Yes, in fact I'm shipping two next week.

I don't think anyone is trying to imply that they aren't worth it. It's just that most of us can't fathom having that kind of cash to spend on toys.

Not yet, but I might try to get one up to CA Extreme this year.  Don't know if they allow "Mame" cabs.

A new pinball machine costs that much. (5-6k)

Stern sells several thousand a year.

I suspect that most of us can't afford one of those either. Again, not implying that they aren't worth it.

"Down alley budgetwise" he hears.

Hmm...been eyeing one of those slikstik combo kits.....

<wonders if this will be similar (same features or more) and in same alley>

<tries to stick hand in burner to see what's hot>

I think they've had a few off and on.  If they're going to have any this year, they'd probably love to get one of yours, as they're:

a) unique;
b) a great demonstration of what MAME can do when put in a cab that makes the most of the software;
c) something that an interested collector could get, instead of a one-off homebrew;
d) NOT a gutted Space Duel with a giant 4 player frankenpanel!

Hope you do manage to get one in, as I'll be there for my first time this year, and I'd love to see one.

Also, many of the pins are bought to be used to generate money.

But I love the idea, and I'm glad to see that people are buying them from you.  If I had the money laying around, it would probably be in my house too.

Now the new product announcements--

I am happy to report that there are two new versions of the Spincade cabinets in the works.  First off, we will soon be offering a single panel version, fully assembled, with many of the same features of the original design, but without the added expense of spinning panels.  This new design will allow future swapping of its single, dedicated panel, so you will still be able to change controls for different games.  This cost-reduced version of our system will sell for $4599, which is a significant savings over our premiere rotating system, and Hanaho's deluxe cabinet.

Our other new development is an unassembled, flat-packed cabinet kit.  We are expecting to offer the kit for around $1750, without monitor, controls or electronics.  More news on this as we get closer to production...

Most likely, both will be available.  The rotating panel section may need to be pre-assembled, but that is yet to be determined.

Hey, my house is only like 2 miles from CA Extreme's show floor and in a nice neighborhood.  If you want to have an off-site demo you can set up in my garage(or living room!) and you can even leave it there for a few months if you like.. or even a year or so!  I'll even invite my friends over and host parties around the thing.

Plus there will be no fees for this service as a valued member of the BYOAC community. :D

(Yes, I'm kidding.. but... then again... if you're ACTUALLY INTERESTED I'd do it! )
