I-PAC VE Grounding issue
« on: June 21, 2005, 09:58:01 pm »
I finally decided to wire up all 7 of my CP buttons to my I-PAC VE (i formerly just had 4 and the joystick). When I have the daisy-chain ground completed, buttons 5,6, and 1A (button 7) do not register, but Start 1, which uses the same ground, does, and if I swap the controls for button 2 and 7, button 2 then registers as button 7 so the connection is good...anyone have any ideas whats wrong  ???

Sounds like it has to be a wiring problem, but . . .

Did you check continuity of your ground wiring? (I.e., one probe on the first connector in the chain, one probe on the last.) I agree with T-H -- seems like it has to be a wiring issue.

It could be a wiring issue, it just seems strange as the lst button on the chain, the P1 Start has power.  Im going to try rewiring, it may just be my error.
