Slikstik Classic Control Panel -

What existing cabinets (if any) do not support this control panel?

What existing cabinets (if any) support this control panel with no modifications?

What modifications (if any) are required for other cabinets?

Looks like it needs a 35" wide area.  My guesses would be their cabinet supports it and all others need modifications.

I received an e-mail from SlikStik. According to them, some cabinets, for example, a tempest cabinet, would require extensive modifications.

They recommended going with a cabinet such as the MK II cabinet as it already has a shelf and would require the least about of modding.

A cabinet with a shelf is a must, otherwise you'll be chopping up the machine.

Mortal Kombat could possibly work with litte modification, as well as Konami cabs like Xmen or Simpsons.

One thing to note though, some cabs with shelves will look pretty ugly with such a wide CP.  If you want to put that on an original cab, I'd recommend one that already had a wide CP, such as the Konami cabs I mentioned.

Yeah...the more I keep looking at it and thinking about it, the more I'm tempted to just fold and get their cabinet/control panel combo. That would solve a lot of my problems (no truck/truck rental, no tools/tool rental, etc).

If I make the decision soon enough and were to order it, I could time it so that I'd be on vacation right about the time it would be delivered. :)

SlikStik control panels will work on pretty much any cabinet that has a 90 degree cutout.

Check out my conversion project for details:
