Arkegs? Is it a BYOAC member?
« on: June 20, 2005, 12:02:56 pm »
Just saw the news about Arkegs. I'm wondering if it's a user from here doing that?

Kinda annoys me when people feel the need to announce things when their websites are only half-finished. It DOES NOT INSTILL CONFIDENCE in people to order from you. Especially not when it's items costing in the 4 digits.

Oh well. Live and learn...the hard way.

Yeah...  no photos, inconsistent menu links between different pages ("Merchandise" sometimes links to "members.html"), buttons that look like links but have no href tags, and a couple 404's.  I thought the whole arcade/keg idea was a riot when I first saw it posted here, even if it's not really my cup of tea, and I was really hoping to see the end product...

Oh, and having the Pac Man control panel on the front of the shirt will lead to trouble...  Namco does not take kindly to such things, I hear.

I want to make a kegerator that can serve as the pedestal for my Bartop.  I just love the idea of drawing a pint homebrew while waiting for my turn to get whomped by Donkey Kong.

Of course, when you have kegs around and the beer never spoils or gets cold, you must have keg control ... very much a learning experience.  How many hangovers will it take? ;) :D

Cheers,

Hmmm... multiple gallons of liquid, a cooling system, materials prone to water damage, and sensitive electronics...

Am I the only one who sees a problem here?

It shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't get too drunk and spill your beer. ;)

Really, they should have a better website and clarify how they have secured it all.

Cheers,

I was going to ask if anyone found the images yet.

Why would you announce... or take orders without them... "Sure, heres my 3.5k... I hope it doesn't look like the Xybots cab... I hate those cabs... I guess I'll see when it gets here..."

Maybe, but at least you've got pics of what you're selling.   ;)
