Couple of questions about jpac and arcade vga...
« on: June 16, 2005, 04:37:26 pm »
the ultimarc site is down (again).

am i right in saying the following?:

to connect my pc to my jamma cab all i need to do is get an arcade vga card and stick it in my pc, and get a jpac and connect one side into the jamma connector in the cab and the other side - one to the arcade vga and the other to the usb/ps2 port

this seem right - all that's needed to get up and running?

Yup. In a nutshell, thats it.

You might have to do a little bit of fiddling to get the AVGA working properly. I thought mine was faulty but it turned out I needed to install the normal ATI driver then install the AVGA driver over the top of it.

Jpac is already configured for MAME controls as default so its pretty much just plug and play. Just make sure you plug the jamma connector onto your Jpac the right way around.

I did this whole process for the first time myself recently. If you get stuck feel free to PM me.
I didn't touch it....honest!
