Wico 2-1/4" trackball questions
« on: June 16, 2005, 12:39:26 pm »
Just got a used wico Trackball. I've read a lot about cleaning them up and replacing rollers and bearings but had three questions I haven't seen addressed:

Is there supposed to be a gap between the ball and the top housing? It seems like it would be an easy way to get pinched. Do I need to replace the springs that hold up the rollers?

Is there a specific method for removing the bearings from the rollers? I can't get mine to budge. Is there something I'm missing or are they just "gunked" on.

What's the difference between Wico and Imperial trackballs? Are parts interchangeable?
Brevity is not my strong suit.
