Can anyone list reasons why my IPAQ4 would be reporting that both the 1st player UP and DOWN are being triggered at the same time.
Here's things I've checked:
The Player 1 up and down each only have one wire running to their terminals. Both UP and DOWN are securely wired and grounded. There arent any loose fragments of wire that would be causing both wires to trigger one another.
WHen I was out of ideas I figured I could try to hook up the joystick to the player 3 terminals to see if it was a bad terminal. If I attempt to hook up player 1 up and down wires to player 3 up and down, they for some reason also trigger the second players "3" and "6"th buttons.
I also made sure that in the IPAQ Configuraton Utility that I'm using the default settings and that no buttons are double-mapped.
I can't figure out these oddities. Having my player one joystick work properly is the last thing I need to do before I can enjoy my new cabinet. I greatly appreiate any help you guys can give.
