I finally got everything wired last night, and low and behold, buttons 5 & 6 on the player 2 side weren't working....so i went into the ultimarc program and tested them.

MAME by default only maps buttons 1-4 for Player 2.  Just go into input all games and set them to I and J.

What!!  You mean it's that easy to fix!  Well, that's good news!   Thanks a million.  I'm mad, i stayed up until 1 am trying to figure out what was going on, messing with all the wires and solder and stuff and i totally missed that!  Why the heck doesn't it default those 2 buttons??  Oh well, now i can't wait until i get off of work and try that out.  My first cab is near completion...thanks again!
