50" CRT in texis for cheap - local pickup only
« on: June 13, 2005, 01:30:49 pm »
Not my auction... local pickup only

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13716&item=6186274611&rd=1

Anyone around there might get a great deal.   NOTE:  convergence is off... not sure what that means...

This is EyeDoc's auction. He posted it in another thread.

When the convergence is off it means that the colors don't fully overlap properly when they're shown on the screen. It's common with projection displays.

Uh oh Alan...you missed your chance to get it for $9.99.  Someone threw in an opening bid!   8)

It's never been a matter of money. I don't mind paying $65 dollars for it. I have nowhere to put it!  :)

I've found south TX to be short on arcade stuff. Corpus might be better than the valley, though. There's one operator in Brownsville, and he's the only one I know of for a 3hr drive in any direction. Then there's a Tilt arcade in the mall in Harlingen that sometimes sells their machines. And that's about it.

In Corpus there is:

Tilt
"The Arcade"(formerly Aladdin's Castle)
South Texas Games(route) I occasonally get stuff from them
Mack Vending & Games
Action Amusment
Roark Amusment
City Vending & Amusment

And even a couple more I can't think of...

South Texas Games or South Texas Vending? STV is the bane of my existence. I mean... they're the 1-and-only operator I'm aware of south of Corpus. Actually, the owner was ok. It was the manager (or whatever he was) I didn't like.

Do you mean Jeff Panetti? (tall guy w/ blonde hair)
I think that's how he spells his name.

Beats me. I'm not sure I ever caught his name. Besides, that was several years ago already.

That 50" has about made the $65 you were looking for. Congratulations. More importantly, though, it'll be out of your garage!
