X-Arcade buttons and joysticks
«

Hi all-
I searched the forums and no answers to my question jumped out. How is the quality of the X-arcade buttons and joysticks? They just surfaced on ebay after not being their for a while:
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=xgamingauctions&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=25
$19.95 for 20 buttons and 2 4/8 way controllers
$9.99 for 2 4/8 way joysticks
$9.99 for 20 buttons
Shipping is $6.95 for first pack plus $3 for each additional pack. Are these good for the money or should I buy the Happs stuff (either through Happs or Bob Roberts)?
Thanks for your thoughts.

they are fine for the money.if you are "SUPER PICKY" like "ahh...the buttons are not that shiny' then you shouldnt go for x-arcade buttons BUT they work great and joystick is as good as happs super.the buttons arent all shiny like the happ onces but works perfectly.

for cheapo's they work OK/fine... I use them on my
cabinet - ubercade
YMMV but for the price they work fine for me... I'll eventually put something else in though.
one small note on the buttons: they are only "tall" enough to put in 3/4" wood... might have to use 5/8" control panel wood if putting lexan on top... (just a thought)

OH YES...totally forgot..its a total b!tch to install these buttons if you have 3/4" wood and lexan or plexi..however works fine for 5/8" or 1/2" wood with plexi...if you wont use plexi or lexan..perfect then..good luck.

I bought the Joysticks from that guy quite some time ago. I have no complaints about them. I also got the Joystick/Button pack you mentioned, it's on its way here now. Worst case is they work, they're cheap and you can always replace them later if they don't meet your standards. I personally like them.

PUSHBUTTON WITH
HORIZONTAL
MICROSWITCH
Wow
ar you kidding me. Man the place I buy my parts from charges like $51.90 for 20 Pushbuttons w/ Horizontal Microswitch and 2 Ultimate 8-Way Joysticks. This place is like 30 min from my house so I just drive up there and pick it up from there. Just a question, do these come in different colors besides black. Thanx.

Here is what I used in my cabinet. A little more money but AHHH the look and the feel can't be beat. Especially when they're lit up. They also don't have that annoying clickity click to distract you when playing. But if you're into late 80's and up fighting games then you're probably used to that. Personal preference I guess.

That's awesome! I hadn't seen these auctions. I'm going to order one of the big packages for 19.99. That's less than I was expecting to pay the buttons alone, plus I get free joysticks to play with! If I don't like the sticks I'll just use them for my #3 and #4 players and get some perfect 360s for the main ones. Thanks for pointing this out paig2956.

I ordered X-arcade sticks on ebay and didn't like them at all - I purchased the p360's about 2 weeks after I bought the $9.99 for 2 x arcade joysticks on E-Bay, but you get what you pay for...I now have two spare joysticks

I think that they are decent for the money. I have my control panel half-wired, and they work great for games like NBA Jam, etc. I don't no if they are the greatest for fighters, but as far as a low cost option, I give them two thumbs up.
