cheap, but high quality spinner knob

I was in the lighting department of Home Depot the other day, and what to my wondering eyes should apear but a solid cast brass dimmer knob. About 1.5" across, 1/2" thick, and very heavy. Maybe 2oz. It has a knurled hole to accept the shaft, and three different plastic adapters for different shaft types. Under $5.

I'm going to have to do some mods to it before it can go on the spinner...  The plastic adapters that come with it are off-center so it makes the knob wobble...  So I have to make some mods and I'll post some pics of what it looks like...
