Chrome Stick Covers...

I have 2 T-Stik Plus joysticks...they have a chrome cover over the shaft of the stick...
I also have HAPP super joysticks and I would like to replace the black shaft coves with chrome ones.
Doesn anyone know where I can get these to fit the Supers?

Well I'm just looking for the covers...they're just made of plastic...though I do like the look of the stainless sticks...can you make them for T-Stick Plus and Supers?

I would love to be able to make some joysticks for the community but I have been round this before and It would end up being far too expensive for you guys compared to slickstiks etc. Doing the odd joystick just isnt cost effective (for anyone).

Yeah tell me about it. No one has said anything so far about internet usage so far. I reckon as long as im not looking at dodgy stuff then I should be ok (  ). Its only really byoac I go on anyway. (well addictinggames.com does take a bit of a hammering, what else am I meant to do on hour cycle jobs?  )

I was actually thinking of asking whether you would be interested in making some super sleeves out of metal but assumed you had decided not to make any more custom parts when you didn't respond to my posts about mounting plates.

I much prefer the chrome look to black plastic but the chrome painted plastic sleeves that come with the T-Stiks look a bit tacky close up. Also, I've noticed in the arcades that the chrome paint comes off after a while exposing white plastic. Not good.

The Super joysticks and the T-Stiks are actually made by the same manufacturer and the sleeves (which have the same part number on the respective exploded views) are interchangeable.

I'd be interested in purchasing quite a few if they're not too expensive as I own a T-Stik and several Supers.

FYI, the Happ mechanical rotaries, which are modified Supers, come with chrome shafts.

That's a pity, $10 each is obviously too much bearing in mind you can buy a complete Super stick for about $7.

But if the price could come down to an affordable level through economies of scale then I think I could justify buying up to six sleeves.

Is anyone else here interested in buying some sleeves so we can make the unit cost more affordable?

Sorry for the late reply, Ive had a few things on the go. The mounting plates would have been no problem what soever If our company hadnt have outsourced our fabrication department. We had some really good sheet bending and punching m/cs that would have ideal and would have done the job in no time at all.

The best way for you to get them would probably be for to do them yourself as the only way that I would be able to do them would be using methods that should available to you. If you know someone with a pillardrill and a vice you should be sorted. Cut the plates to size with a hacksaw or whatever, drill the holes and then bend the plates by putting the plates in the vice with the bend location at the jop of ther vice jaw and then use a soft hammer to bend them over.

It's a shame about the mounting plates but I haven't given up on the chrome sleeves yet.

Is anyone else here interested in having Super Joysticks with chrome shafts? I realise it's quite a lot of money for something that is only cosmetic but it's not a lot of money in the greater scheme of things. And if we spent our money rationally we probably wouldn't be into this hobby anyway.

If you've got a panel fitted with Supers and T-Stiks then this is one way to make all the joysticks match.

We dont' make crome covers, but do have stainless shaft Super joysticks, with either Red or Black ball handles.  Look at any of the 4 or 8 way microswitch joysticks.
