FS: Really small mini-itx system
« on: June 09, 2005, 01:35:35 am »
I've got a spare mini-itx system I built a couple of months ago that is just collecting dust and that's just not right. The system is the smallest form factor PC I've seen. This thing is smaller than the MAC mini. It uses the MAPOWER S3000 case you can see the specs on it here.

Here a pic next to my small Ericsson T series phone and a set of std headphones.

You can see some additional pics here.

Here's a quick blast of how it is configured.

C3 1Ghz
512MB PC2700
60GB slim latop drive
USB 2.0
Firewire
Dual boot with Windows XP and Linux.

This lil machine plays all the games in  KAWAKS at full speed. (ROMS not includedP ;)

I'm asking $400 shipped within the continental US. This isnt a bad deal considering the cheapest I could find the case and mobo for was $300 today.

Feel free to ask any questions.

As always thanks for looking

Which model of board is it? Does it include tv-out?

Would you consider selling just the board and RAM? I wouldn't need the case if I were putting it inside an arcade machine and that 60GB HD really drives up the price. I would even consider buying it with the case, but I seriously wouldn't be needing a 60GB laptop HD.

The board if memmory serves is a VIA EPIA TC10000. It has TV out via S-VIDEO.

Really looking to get rid of it as a whole unit. The mobo and CPU for this one is typically in the $250 range by itself. It's a pretty good deal as a package. I understand about not needing the case for an arcade project. This is suitable for a small arcade but probably more of a fit for a Home Theatre PC, etc

If I were to buy it all together, it would be for an all-in-one console emulator to tuck under my tv.

Oh, it's a TC? Those are the super fancy snazzy ones. Does your come with cardbus or compactflash slots?

Just double checked. The mainboard is a M10000. The TC is in another mini. Sorry for any confusion.

AH! Ok those are more common. In fact, I think I've got that same model at home. I was using it inside my jukebox before the HD died and I scrapped the project.

Is that going to affect your asking price?

You'd think that it might, but it doesn't. I was basing the price off of what the case and mobo combo costs which is still at a little over $300.
