UK Newbie Needs advice on where to get parts

I got a real bad urge to build my own controller, but being from the uk am having trouble finding uk retaillers. I just want to know where other uk people buy their bits from.....and if i use ultimarc will customs spank me for the vat?

Ultimarc are based here in the UK, so there is no avoiding VAT ! You'll basically pay the price they have on their site, with no more charges from the postie.
