I don't know what it's actually called...but the nub is a little too short on this motor to fit my gear....

The one it comes with is a little short and MAYBE a little too skinney.  I'm hoping someone has a good idea.

Nannuu said he made an arm for his out of Sculpey clay, but I have no idea how to do that...here's what I"m talking about...

Thanks....

As long as there isn't a lot of torque on it, you could use some of that 2-part epoxy putty.  Fill the center of the gear and then push it down onto the shaft.

Just be careful not to lock up the shaft with the stuff ;)

LOL that's funny.

Sculpey clay is just clay you harden in your oven at home.  Good stuff, it can also be dremeled once hardened.  Probably not the best solution for your gear though.  I think most hobby shops carry small diameter tubing.  Usually aluminum and brass.  You could use a piece of that, press the tubing around the shaft and epoxy it on, then epoxy the gear to to top of your new shaft.
Next I'll be on fries, and that's when the big money starts rolling in.

I would like to thank both RandyT, and Nannuu, for helping give validation to my signature here.

Ooooh oooh, I got it!  Ok, so get a piece of coper tubing that fits perfectly inside your gear.  Judging by your picture the ID of the tube should be large enough for the square peg to fit into it.  Then take a pair of plyers and pinch the tube on oposite sides of the square peg ether the way I illustrated bellow or corner to corner!
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Here's what I did...I once again took Nannuu's advise and went to a local shop who I knew had this kind of stuff.  I found a square brass tube that fit perfectly around the square peg.  The other end of the brass thing was a TINY bit too big to fit through the circle on the gear.  So I shaved it down on the corners and it fits perfectly now!

I still need to cut it of course...but here it is!
