trackball and spinner to one ps/2 port?
« on: December 07, 2002, 07:04:46 pm »
Hi there,

Long time lurker, first time poster  :)

Have finally got myself a potential mame cabinet today (eventually), stripped bare to the wood, so am starting to get all my components together.

BUT - I have hit upon a problem - I have a homemade spinner from an old mouse, and a bought trackball. Both of these use the mouse ps/2 port (and the machine needs to be rebooted between swapping them over), but I have only ever seen a component where one keyboard/mouse controls many computers, and not the other way round!

I would ideally love to put in a switch (like in the USB mouse swapper topic earlier this week), but I don't know where to start with the PS/2 ports.

Anyone done anything like this?

Thanks in advance.

John
