WTB: Wiring Job
« on: May 30, 2005, 07:52:18 pm »
Recently Ive run into the problem of finishing my MAME cabinet.  With school and all its taken me a year to get as far as I have, and I'm now facing the control panels.  With upcoming finals and then being gone to Governor's School for most of summer, I'm not sure when Ill be able to get this done.  I originally planned on just one control panel, but Ive decided to go swappable due to some threads Ive read.  My attempt at the original wiring job, despite the help of some BYOACers tips, was terrible, with lots of stray wires, wiring caps, and bad connections.  Now I'm looking for someone to help me out.  I need someone to wire this for me.
The panel is a 2 player 7 button Neo-Geo/SF style layout.  Id need someone to wire this with either Molex or DB25 connectors (I think that's what they're called) and then wire another connector to be attached to the I-Pac.  I need some sort of connector because I plan on adding my Dreamcast to the cabinet and would like to be able to quickly swap between the two.

I can pay with either $$$, computer parts (some SDRAM, a PIII processor, and some other stuff), or assorted Gamecube stuff (System, ~15 games, 3 controllers, 2 memcards).

Either PM or post if you need pics or more details.

Thanks!

tommy

It's really easy to wire an ipac to a panel, why are you having trouble?

Its easy to do wire that, I did it, its just turned out really messy.  Its more of the whole disconnect with the Molex/DB connectors and the fact that I have little time that Im looking to have someone do this for me.

Really???

Molex wiring is fairly simple as all you need is a molex crimping tool, molex connectors, molex pins (both parts), wire, cable ties, and common sense ;)

Bob Roberts is a good sorce for all these parts.
