i've seen some coin doors in ebay reasonably priced - will any coin door work with an i-pac?

Yep. Any door is fine.
Before you make your purchase, try calling a distributors sales office and ask for a price- you can usually get a good door with mechs for half the price that Happs sells the exact same door for.

umm, depends if the door has switches or not. It SHOULD, but we're talking abotu EBAY here, so... stuff can be missing. One common mistake is buying a coin door that is missing the frame, and/or missing the parts that hold the coin mechs.
