need help hacking an IDE cable
« on: May 29, 2005, 06:11:12 pm »
I thought I knew the way the pins worked but now I'm not sure.  If the red wire is pin 1 and the one touching it is wire 2 and so on, then is this the right pin layout?

2  4  6  8  10...
1  3  5  7    9...

To be more specific

If I have the red pin on the left.  Would the "joymode button be the 14th wire?  And would button 1 be wire 35 (or 5 from the right)?

Thanks

If you are using the GP-Wiz 49 with the IDE header then I believe you are right on the money.
