classicarcadegrafix.com reputable or not ?
« on: May 29, 2005, 05:15:10 am »
Hi has anyone ever dealt with this company before. They have some really nice artwork. I was thinking of ordering some but when I tried to add it to my cart to see the price it said

classicarcadegrafix.com is the accepted referrer.
is not a valid referrer
Refering Site Authentication Failed!

I tried several different things but I got the same message.
I thought I would just call the to place an order. I read their f.a.q. And it says they only accept online orders, seems kind of fishey to me. I was planning on buying about $150.00 worth of art
(I need all the Robocop and data east art know one else sells it) I don

If you search the newsgroups I believe you will find many people talking about the quality of their products.  Don't know about the other things.

I purchased an CPO from them a little while back, quick shipping and very nice quality.  Id guess they forgot to update something while updating their site

I bought quite a bit of stuff from them going back about 12 months ago..

When it arrived, the CPO had some printing errors and the bezel was crushed beyond use because they shipped to Australia in a box (which was also crushed), not a tube..

Contacted them and they agreeed to replaced the CPO straight away, after a bit of argueing, they agreed to replace the bezel.

My marquee was basically useless when light was shining through it (check out my Centipede build up HERE for what I am talking about..

All in all, I was pretty happy with the quality of their work, although there were a couple of problems - we managed to get them sorted out... Pretty happy considering I am on the other side of the world.

I bought a marquee from them as well. It's not terrible, but there's some color banding (instead of smooth gradation), and it washed out when backlit.
I won a marquee from EMDKay (Thanks BYOAC!) and the difference is striking.
