For a good laugh....
« on: October 26, 2005, 06:16:08 pm »
...try remapping the two 'run' keys in Track & Field to 'up' and 'down' on the player 1 joystick.  Was messing around with ways to try and run faster and accidentally tried this.  Friend of mine and I were literally rolling on the floor for several minutes after trying it (try to visualize it).

I would especially recommend trying this with a cocktail table LOL.

The computer versions of these kind of games used left & right on the joystick - 'joystick wagglers' was the term at the time.

I had Daley Thompsons Supertest (Day 1 & 2) on the Amstrad.  Many a joystick bit the dust due to this game...cycling was a sheer test of stamina.  And yes these games make you look a right ---tallywhacker---!  :D

That was funny.  I wanted to download that video to show to a friend, but couldn't.   :(  Don't think they would have appreciated the site that went with it.

Hahahaha.....yes I remember the home versions too, but they mostly used left-right instead of up-down, probably for this very reason :)  I bet most men will get better scores on those games using up-down though WHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAA !!!! :D ;D ;)

I was looking for a direct link, but I ended up just finding it in my browser cache.  Thanks for the link though.

For future reference, Firefox makes it extremely easy to save embeded content. Just rightclick the page, select "View page info", select the "Media" tab. Scroll down until you find the object of type "Embed", check the filename to make sure its what you want, select it, click "save as".
