Seimitsu or Sanwa sticks?
« on: May 24, 2005, 10:37:59 pm »
I've had a cabinet with sanwa buttons and seimitsu LS-40 (i think) joysticks for a while now and the seimitsu sticks feel "springy" to me. I don't particularly like the way they play. I've seen restrictor plates and Sanwa sticks as a possible option. Can anyone with more experience on these give their input? I've never played on Sanwa joysticks, but I love their buttons.

its down to preference for each player, I personally prefer the seimitsus, lots prefer sanwa, we have been having this same discussion on killercabs forums and its a regularly debated topic on shoryuken.com hardware forums

IMVHO seimitsus are quieter, flow easier and smoother, take alot more hammer and the switches dont require to be changed as often as on sanwa's.

out of 5 of my cabs, 4 are fitted with seimitsus and one is having sanwas and seimitsus (swappable panel)

Rod @ Himura games stocks both sanwa and seimitsus

Do your seimitsus make a click any time they hit a switch and what makes the sanwas any different?

actually im a bit confused, if you mean do the button switches click then no, if you mean the the joystick switch, yes that clicks but they are quieter than Sanwa

I think they are both high quality sticks.

Check out my thread under Buy/Sell/Trade for my translucent sticks.  They are very similar to what you are looking for with 1/2 the cost.

They are very similar to the Sanwa... just diff spring back to center tension. Ponyboys sticks are a little tigher on the return.
