Howard... shouldn't you have a frameskip of 0 though.

I thought the all mame frameskips will not speed things up... just not display something that is generated.

so frameskip 0 + underclock 0 to 25% or so should be as good as you get.

Adding the frameskip 1 will force mame to skip one... not that that will be that big a deal since the board itself is skipping... But you might get the skips off so that the board skips one... then mame skips one... that will make it look like a frame skip 3 then none then none then 3.

I'm pretty positive I read a page by Aaron Giles saying Frameskip 0 for the Cruisin' Series . . .

Since we are nit-picking here, your cheat tiger actually makes the game slower than it should be.  Overclocking the second processor isn't necessary and eats up a lot of processing power.

Frameskip 1 simply saves some processes by not drawing the screen as often.  It just squeezes a spare fps or two out of your system.  Yes the 3d models are still calculated in the processor, but they aren't drawn and since drawing is done in software in mame, you will see a slight difference.  But all in all, you could have it on or off... it's the 25% processor underclock that makes the biggest difference.

Well, since we're nit-picking - technically, it would be under-clocking the second processor, but I just copied that from some stuff I was trying when it first was mentioned.  The whole idea could be done with just this entry in cheat.dat:
